Mood Disorders Centre

Changes during COVID-19: Call the centre at 604-822-7512 for information, rather than stopping by. To get a referral from a doctor, Student Health Services and other medical providers are operating phone and video appointments.

How to access Mood Disorders Centre:

Patients get referrals from family doctors and walk-in clinics. Speak to your doctor to attain the referral form.

What happens when I go to the Mood Disorders Centre?

Once your referral is accepted, the clinic will contact you confidentially by phone. The wait period is quite a while. Generally you will hear back in 3-4 months. You will generally get a single appointment with a professional psychiatrist. Before your appointment, you will get a questionnaire to assess concerns and help assess your needs.

Good to know:

Long waiting period, but if you're looking for immediate help seek assistance at VGH Access and Assessment Centre

This initiative is run by botany and zoology grad students and faculty with the goal of providing better mental health support to grad students.
